ESP/ESC Impact to Behavior of Vehicle
Weigel, Filip ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on active safety - ESP. System ESP greatly improves stability of vehicle while turning. The thesis analyses modelling, brake functionality, subordinate systems of ESP - ABS and ASR, physical forces and phenomenons, model example, analysis of problem, design of model, implementation of model and experiments evaluation of implemented model in UPPAAL enviroment. The goal of the thesis is to prove that ESP system helps to stabilize vehicle while turning by simulation of vehicle model. Results are presented in well-aranged graphs side-by-side. It is possible to analyze the behaviour of vehicle while turning with ESP or without ESP.
Conception of terrain vehicles UTV
Máca, Jiří ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (advisor)
This review type bachelor thesis is dealing with conceptual solutions of Utility terrain vehicles. Individual chapters are describing main functional groups and different options of their construction. These options are analysed in terms of suitability for given application in utility and sport terrain vehicles, their manufacturing complexity and costs. Specific vehicles are mentioned only marginally.
Racing car chassis
Formula 1 Cars Evolution
Studeník, Juraj ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is engaged in description of progress, research, manufacturing and testing components for F1 racing cars. These improvements causes technological progress which support driver´s safety and increases speed limits continually. Thanks to this F1 races are more and more balanced and attractive for viewers.
Development of Formula 1 cars
Šopík, Lukáš ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with development of Formula One cars from the begging of the Formula One Worlds Driver´s Championship and describes the first twenty years of this development. This period is characteristic as the replacement of the pre-war cars with engine in front for the cars with engine behind the driver, which is typical for nowadays Formula One. There are description of main construction components and their subgroups, which had been improved by using new materials and technologies.
System comparison of road adhesion measurements
Mikulec, Roman ; Jůza, Petr (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis presents a comparison of different methods for measuring road surface skid resistance and an assessment of whether there is a functional dependency in between measurement results of these methods. It consists of a description of the physical quantities, which are measured by these methods and equipment used for these measurements. The work includes the measurement and comparison of measurement outputs with each other. Among the measurement methods there can be seen similar development of their values, with two exceptions there is similar difference between the results of the measurement methods. When comparing the results XL Meter instrument seemed more accurate than the RaceLogic due to its higher frequency of data recording. By using numerical method of comparison between XL Meter device and multipurpose device TRT there was a constant by which the results differed from each instrument, with value of 0,35, using the method of interspacing the resulting differences of values by a line, the resulting constant by which the results differed between the devices had the value of 0,33.
Analysis of the effect of rotation of the wheels on the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle
Škrášek, Roman ; Čavoj, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with modeling and CFD calculation of aerodynamic characteristics of vehicle, influenced by loaded or unloaded tires and boundary conditions applied on this tires. These calculations are combined with three types of variable rear body shape of DrivAer vehicle. There is a complete analysis and evaluation of the effects of these factors.
The impact of tire inflation on driving performance of a passenger vehicle
Pelán, Radim ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
The key goal of the following diploma thesis is to evaluate influence of the air pressure in the car tires on the driving dynamic, stability and comfort. The first part is dedicated to the theory of the driving dynamic, stability, tire parameters and tire inflation. Next practical part is focused on the drivers’ knowledge about the correct tire inflation and follows with the measurements and evaluation of the influence of the tire inflation on the driving characteristics, riding comfort and its comparison. These influences are summarized and followed up by the recommendations for the drivers and also the expert activities.
Influence of Mixing Line Parameters Adjustment on Mixture´s Properties
Smiřický, Jan ; Kučera, František (referee) ; Petrůj, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to set optimal rubber mixture processing parameters in Barum Continental Ltd. Dispersion is one of the most important tire production steps. Although rubber mixing has been researched by several generations of experts, there are still some unexplored influencing variables. The automotive companies are keen on the reduction of emissions and therefore pushes the tire manufactures as they can contribute to emission reduction, as well as the enhancement of tire toughness. Enhancement of tire toughness causes the decreasing of rolling resistance. Higher toughness is exhibited by tires made of rubber filled by surface modified silica. Silica filled mixtures creates a three-dimensional net which is capable to coexist with a net made by vulcanization reaction. Other goals of this thesis are to understand the process and technologies used for mixing rubber mixtures designated for tire production.
